Renovation of La Porcherie gîte
European Union European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development Europe invests in rural areas »
It is with great pleasure that we can announce that the planning and preparatory work to remodel our Porcherie gîte has been completed. The work will begin from October. If you like demolishing a building, don't hesitate to come see us. And bring a big hammer.
To complete our offer, we wanted to better take into account people with disabilities, including those with reduced mobility. However, of the two gîtes, only one operates all year round, the 2nd "la Porcherie" not being sufficiently insulated and comfortable. This is why we want to completely renovate this gîte to make it a product of ecological quality and comfort and accessible to people with disabilities. The lodge will be energy neutral and equipped to withstand the hazards caused by climate change. In particular, it is planned to install ecological insulation (wood wool, hemp and sheep wool, produced on site), photovoltaic panels near the gîte, and toilets powered by rainwater. At the end of the work, the gîte will be accessible to people with disabilities on two levels with a capacity of 4 beds on the ground floor and 2 beds upstairs (2 accessible bedrooms). Bathrooms and common rooms will also be accessible to all. The site will be carried out under self-construction.
Expenses for an architect, carpentry, kitchen fittings and equipment are co-financed as part of the EAFRD-Leader aid request.
